Matevž Granda

Matevž Granda is an architect and editor. Since graduating from the Faculty of Architecture, Ljubljana in 2005, he has worked on several architectural projects, from small to urban scale. He has participated in many architectural competitions, including the Izola Youth Culture centre (1st prize), Museum square in Koper (2nd prize), Primary school Lavrica (honourable mention), Primary school Litija (2nd prize), Helsinki 2050 (selected among top 15 projects), Urban development in Izola (2nd prize), and many others. Matevž Granda was a co-founder of the Slovenian Green Build Council. He has been a member of the editorial board of KLIK and Hiše magazines, and has also published in Oris magazine, Zagreb. His design work was exhibited at BIO (Bienale for Industrial Design, Ljubljana) in 2010. From 2014 to 2017 he lived in Vienna where, in 2015, he co-funded OUTSIDER magazine together with Nina Granda. Since 2015 he is the managing editor of the magazine, which in its three short years has become the leading media avenue for architecture, space and culture, and which received the Plečnik prize in 2017.
